Collections for Toys for Tots started on October 1, 2017 will go until December 10, 2017. The  Mitchell County Middle School’s Young Marines will do their best to help out the Marines Corps Reserve in Mitchell County. Amie Dean, The Behavior Queen

On August 11-August 14, all of the MCSS teachers attended a full-day behavior management workshop with The Behavior Queen, Amie Dean.  Amie Dean is a National Board Certified teacher with a Masters degree in Education and has worked 22 years in education. She has worked with thousands of teachers from across the United States.

Weathering the Storm

Chief Meteorologist Yolanda Amadeo from WALB visited MCPS campus. She gave the students firsthand information on what to do during severe weather, how rain is formed, precipitation, and so much more. Ms. Amadeo reminded the students that education is important when becoming a meteorologist. She told them that meteorologists observe weather patterns, fly into the eye of storms, calculate temperatures, and much more......
