REACH Scholars Recognized
Congratulations to Mitchell County High School 8th Grade Students Karsen Murray, Avalyn Scott, Kacy Pace, Jah’sean Hicks, and Frederick Anderson, Jr. (shown left) for being selected to be the first REACH Scholars at Mitchell County High School. Mitchell County Board of Education has moved to Mitchell County High School, 1000 Newton Road (Old Freshman Academy/Hall D). The Mitchell County Board of Education meetings will be held at the High School for the remainder of year: November 8, November 13, and December 11. All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. Meetings will be held at this location until further notice.
The Mitchell County Board of Education meetings will be held the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Mitchell County Board of Education Board Room (Currently located at Mitchell County High School). Work sessions will be held on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Mitchell County Board of Education Board Room prior to the third Tuesday of each month. Click on the title for more information.

The Mitchell County Board of Education has scheduled a Called Board meeting on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Mitchell County Board of Education Board Room located at 108 South Harney Street. The purpose of this meeting will be to set the millage rate. This notice posted at the Mitchell County Board of Education Office on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 4:15 p.m.
Pre-K Orientation will be held at MC Primary School on August 1 at 6 p.m.
All parents of Pre-K Students are invited to attend.
On August 2, from 1 to 5:30 p.m, MCHS 8th graders are invited to attend the 8th Grade Escapade. Students, come out and meet your teachers, participate in 8th grade orientation. Parents, please join your child from 4:30-5:30 in the MCHS Auditorium for an informational meeting and refreshments.
The Mitchell County School Nutrition Program is participating in the Summer Feeding Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge up to age 18. Children will be served regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
