MCSS's Schools Closed for Students January 17

The Mitchell County School System (MCSS)/Baconton Community Charter School (BCCS) will be closed (students and employees will not report to school) on Wednesday, January 17th due to inclement weather conditions. School will resume on Thursday, January 18th at the regular time.

MCMS Young Marines Toys for Tots

Collections for Toys for Tots started on October 1, 2017 will go until December 10, 2017. The  Mitchell County Middle School’s Young Marines will do their best to help out the Marines Corps Reserve in Mitchell County. The MCMS Young Marines are trying to raise enough toys for 300 families in Mitchell County this year. .......

Amie Dean, The Behavior Queen

On August 11-August 14, all of the MCSS teachers attended a full-day behavior management workshop with The Behavior Queen, Amie Dean.  Amie Dean is a National Board Certified teacher with a Masters degree in Education and has worked 22 years in education. She has worked with thousands of teachers from across the United States.
