MCSS Will Hold an Intruder Alert Drill-Friday, September 13

Safety is a priority at Mitchell County Schools. We will conduct an intruder alert drill on Friday, September 13, 2024, at all schools to prepare students and staff for emergency situations. This standard procedure helps everyone learn how to respond in the unlikely event of an intruder on campus.

During the drill, students will practice securing the building under the guidance of their teachers, who will explain the process in an age-appropriate way to minimize anxiety.

Please note that this drill is precautionary, with no specific threat to our school. Local law enforcement will be present to observe and guide us.
