Public Notice: January 12-Students Will be Dismissed Early

The Mitchell County School System will release students early on Friday, January 12, 2024, to allow students to arrive home safely ahead of the severe weather and winds expected in our area. The wind predictions are expected to range from 25-35 mph of sustained winds, exceeding the safety threshold of school buses.

Mitchell County Primary School will begin dismissal at 12:30 p.m.,
Mitchell County Elementary School at 12:40 p.m.,
Mitchell County Middle School at 12:40 p.m., and
Mitchell County High School at 12:45 p.m.
